In a new investigation, American geologists find a saw under the Himalayas. This mountain range was born 450-550 million years ago, long before India adheres to Asia.
Over time, the tectonic plates of India and Asia approached and collided. As a result of this clash, about 50 million years ago, the Himalayas were formed over other ancient mountains and the highest mountains in the world emerged.
