Trying to measure the mass of the Higgs boson
01/02/2007 | Elhuyar

Researchers from Fermilab (USA) and CERN (Switzerland) compete to find the Higgs boson. The Higgs boson is a subatomic particle that theoretically brings mass to matter. But so far they have failed to prove that it exists.

Now Fermilabe researchers have taken a step. Using the Tevatron particle accelerator, the mass of the W boson has been measured, indicating that the Higgs boson should be lower than previously calculated.
