The HIV virus, which causes AIDS disease, is lost with a protease fight. The upper figure shows that the active part of the protease is in the center of a ring.

The HIV virus, which causes AIDS disease, is lost with a protease fight.

The “hole” of the ring seems to stop the enzyme’s work, and that’s what they want to do at San Francisco University in California. Student Simon Friedman suggests that they want to place a ball of 60 carbon elements in the center of the ring. They are conducting in vitro tests and use the form called carbon fuleroid 60. It seems to inhibit the action of protease.

The future will tell the fruits of this new road that is opening up.
