New type of hepatitis

Recently, the new hepatitis virus, hepatitis E, has been detected. This announcement was made at the International Congress on Virology held in Berlin in March.

Daniel Bradley, a member of the Atlanta Health Control Center, has said that hepatitis E is neither A nor Hepatitis B and is also different from hepatitis C.

Hepatitis E, like hepatitis A, is transmitted with contaminated water. The latter occurs in younger children and is immunized when the patient recovers. Hepatitis E, on the other hand, develops in young adults, but the patient is not immunized.

In pregnant women one in five can die from this virus. However, Bradley says it is very easy to protect yourself from this virus. Just heat the water up to 40ºC/50ºC.
