Graphene is a good heat conductor

Graphene is a good heat conductor
01/04/2008 | Elhuyar

Graphene is a material of the thickness of a carbon atom. This material was discovered in 2004 and has since proved to be very useful: it is a huge conductor of electricity, a semiconductor that serves to manufacture transistors and, due to its hardness, it is ideal for making very thin membranes. Now, researchers at California-Riverside University have also shown that it is a very good heat conductor. In view of this feature, researchers believe that it can be a really appropriate material to remove heat from electronics.
