Gos d'atura: shepherd dog turned urban
The same breed that the pastor appeared in 1929 in an exhibition held for the first time in Barcelona. To achieve some homogeneity in this breed of dog, the Jorba men did their work, crossing many specimens and creating pure races. The Catalan term “gos d´atura” means “shepherd dog”, that is, those who are used, among other things, to guide the flocks of sheep and groups of goats to the apriscos and make them enter the jungles. At present, the disappearance of this breed dog has made him an urban dog.
He is a serious, fast, rural dog with an honest look. Sometimes it seems frustrated by distrust of strangers, but it is a wonderful pattern that bears cold, heat and bad weather well. She likes to play as a child and gets well with the children. Over the years he becomes ingenious, responsible and caretaker. To be happy you need to be profitable for others, or it is a misfortune. He arranges well with the boss who will give him active role within the family.
