The physicists of the University of Geneva managed to teleport the quantum state of a photon to two kilometers. Two laboratories located fifty-five meters have been connected by fiber optic two kilometers to perform the experiment. So far, teleportation was unsuccessful at such long distances.
The telreport does not mean that the photon has disappeared and appeared two kilometers away, but that two photons at two kilometers have been quantum ‘tied’ and, therefore, the quantum changes produced in one have been reflected in the other.
