Sperm concentration has been halved for 46 years, and the decline has accelerated in the last 20 years. These conclusions have been reached by an international group of researchers from all continents.

In fact, it was already known that this was happening in Europe, Australia and North America, but there was little data from other places. Data have now been collected between 2011-2018 in 53 countries with which the existing ones have been completed.

They claim that the fall in sperm has been accompanied by a worsening of male health in other respects. For example, the risk of chronic diseases and testicular cancer has increased. And they point out that this deterioration is related to the degradation of the environment and the stressful life of society.

Researchers consider it essential to investigate the causes of the decline and adopt preventive measures as soon as possible.
