It is difficult to predict the storm

The tow-type depressions are born and developed in the north of the Atlantic Ocean. In most cases it rains to Europe and sometimes it can cause destructive storms. How can we know that depression will cause a storm? Meteorologists do not know and are not able to predict before twenty-four hours.

Although it is difficult to predict the storm, scientists do not give up. With small changes in atmospheric conditions, it is now intended to locate sensitive areas in which very different meteorological phenomena occur.

For this reason, this winter has been carried out the international program FASTEX, in which a lot of measures has been carried out. Planes, boats and buoys have been filled with radars and meters in the north of the Atlantic, although it is usually an area with little weather equipment. Scientists try to find sensitive areas in which very different meteorological phenomena occur due to small changes in atmospheric conditions.

Once the signs announced by the storm have been identified, the strategic points in which the future of depressions is decided must place prediction meters.
