Solar energy to cool milk

A new milk cooling prototype has been developed between the Public University of Navarra and the company Tarre. The prototype takes from a photovoltaic generator the energy necessary to cool the milk, thus avoiding the electrochemical batteries.

The system consists of two concentric cylindrical deposits, one of storage for the collection and cooling of milk and another of icy water. In this way, the area shared by both stores allows the milk to cool and the milk pumping used in other systems is not necessary.
