In eastern Newfoundland, scientists have found fossils of more than 560 million years, that is, they belong to the recently catalogued Ediakar. Fossils have been preserved
very well, appear in three dimensions and belong to marine beings called rangeomorphs.
Fossils have a plant shape, with structures similar to leaves and branches coming out of a trunk. However, scientists believe that they were not plants or animals, but from another biological group.
