The most commonly used operating system is the DOS, both in PCs and in the simplest models of the PS/2 family. The DOS 4.0 consists of 30 new features and is fully compatible with previous versions, that is, users will have at their disposal all the commands and options of previous versions.
One of the main features of this new version is the menu controlled graphical interface, which facilitates the work of those who do not have the habit of using the DOSA. It also has a file organizer and app selector, but experienced users can also use the traditional command line if they want. On the other hand, the hard drive of more than 32 Mbytes can be manipulated without partition, which means creating a file that covers all the hard disk space.
The previous versions had a limit of 32 Mbytes.
The installation procedure is simpler and the error messages it offers are more representative than in previous versions.
