Portable hard drives

Plus Developement Corporation has launched a mobile hard drive system that offers performance and conductivity similar to conventional hard drives.

The system is called Plus Passport and is based on a 3.5 inch and 20 or 40 Mbytes mobile hard drive. This Passport system supports MS-DOS and OS/2 operating systems.

System for high-volume data applications (management), which process sensitive data (accounting, finance, etc.) It is designed primarily for applications in environments requiring a portable system.

It leverages the speed of 286, 386 and PS/2 computers and uses the 1:1 separation factor between sectors increasing data processing capacity. Thanks to the Hyperwrite system you use, disk writes are faster and its intermediate read memory speeds up access to data. In addition to all this, it has a mechanism to streamline copies.

The average time between failures of this mobile disk is 60,000 hours, four or five times higher than that of other mobile devices and twice the most used fixed disks.

Shock absorbers protect against shock during use. The operating system can be started from the Plus Passport drive itself. Other features are the safety lock/unlock system and the hard drive extraction mechanism in case of power outage.
