Decode a boxer's genome
01/01/2006 | Elhuyar

It decodes the entire genome of a female boxer named Tasha. Previously part of the genome of another dog is decoded: that of a caniche in 2003.

This decoding will allow, among other things, to analyze the evolution of the dog's genome (Canis familiaris), since it is estimated that it separated from the wolf (Canis lupus) 15,000 years ago, recently, regarding the time of evolution.
