Graphene bicapa against fraction

Graphene bicapa against fraction

Graphene is gaining importance in the science of materials, as it is a layer of hollow carbon atoms that give it exceptional physical characteristics. Scientists believe that it is appropriate for the manufacture of nanomasins, but there is a problem: it is possible that the nanomachine has a friction between its parts, since this single layer of atoms causes a great friction. The collaboration between the Canadian University of McHill and two teams from the Leibniz Institute of Germany has found that adding a layer would solve the problem, that is, that two-layer graphene would produce much less friction than that of a single layer on a nanomachine. In fact, two-layer graphene atoms vibrate differently. It can be an important discovery, as it is a fashion debate among researchers in the area of nanotechnology, about the possible friction in nanomaquies.
