System 7.0 is the new operating system that Apple has released for its Macintosh computers. The most outstanding new features compared to previous versions are the networking functions and the dynamic exchange of data between applications. This version also wanted to give importance to the user interface. This system accepts most of the data and programs created or developed with previous versions, although they cannot use all the features and possibilities of the new system. The creation of applications that take advantage of the possibilities of this new system will now be the work of the software entities.

It has the most functions of Appleshare, the network program, so any Macintosh connected to the network can work simultaneously as a server and as a client or user.

Installing the 7.0 system requires at least 2 Mb of RAM and hard drive. Currently it is being distributed in 3.5 “floppy disks”, but soon we will have available the CD-ROM version on the street.
