Andromeda, the large galaxy closest to the Solar System, has been calculated at present three times larger than astronomers
thought so far was a little smaller than our galaxy, with a
solar system of 100,000 light years wide and Andromeda of 75,000 light years. However, the movements of three thousand stars outside Andromeda have recently been analyzed and they have realized that the diameter of Andromeda is greater than 220,000 light years.
