In recent years, the industry has begun to use a new type of filter to filter gases at a temperature above 200 C. These filters are hoses, sacks or bags of punched felt or polished fabric. The felt consists of high strength fibers.
The materials used for the manufacture of these fibers are nomex (methoaramid fiber that supports a temperature above 200 regulations), teflon (fluorocarbonated fiber that supports a temperature above 240 C) and tefaire (fiberglass that supports a temperature above 250 local).
The use of this system will allow a more comprehensive control of air pollution, especially in cement industries or that generate carbon dioxide or ferroalloys. On the other hand, the use of cleaned gases as nutrients (through heat exchangers) allows better energy use.
