A genetic study reveals the origin and diversity of Africans
A team of researchers from the University of Pennsylvania has conducted the largest genetic study ever conducted in Africa and has discovered that Africa is one of the most varied places on the planet.
For ten years 121 African countries have been analyzed and 14 groups of ancestors with the same genetic heritage and ethnicity have been identified, with a similar culture and language. To do this, they have collected more than 3,000 genetic samples and compared to more than 1,000 markers (DNA fragments reflecting a common genetic heritage).
