3 hours and quarter from Paris to Marseille, 7 hours from Paris to Rome, 10 hours from Lisbon to Amsterdam, etc. These are the "records" to be achieved with the high-speed train. This is stated by the participants in the "Euroilspeed" congress held on 27 April in Brussels.
By 2015, 30,000 kilometers can be covered at high railway speed. To achieve this goal, we still need 20 billion pesetas in infrastructure and trains. In order to access this grant it will be necessary to have the aid of public administrations and the investment of private companies. Three high-speed trains are currently operating in Europe: ICE in Germany, TGV in France and AVE in Spain.
