Organic superconductors: research advances

Most studies on superconductivity have focused on ceramic oxides. However, a group of chemists from the University of Tokyo have found material that maintains superconductivity at normal pressures and at a temperature of 11.4 K. This material is organic.

The temperature described above does not seem very high, but between organic materials

is the largest reached. From now on research will go in line with the rise in critical temperature.
