Sweden's salmon about to lose

All Baltic Sea salmon can be hidden in some generations.

About 90% of the fish are being killed by a mysterious disease in salmon nurseries in Sweden. According to experts, this unknown disease, called M74, causes all the salmon of the Baltic Sea to be hidden for generations.

For many years the salmon have not gone upstream of the Swedish rivers, due to the construction of hydroelectric dams. Therefore, according to a plan, they capture the females of salmon, collect them and incubate them in nurseries, leaving the young salmon of two years in the sea.

The unknown disease called M74 contaminates and kills females and salmon. They do not believe the disease is caused by bacteria or a virus. According to researchers, it may be due to abundant DDT poisoning in the Baltic Sea or similar pesticides.
