Sir Christopher Cockerell dies

1 June inventor Sir Christopher Cockerell died in Southampton at the age of 88.

This British inventor did his first research on electronics. He subsequently participated in the confidential development of radio navigation systems (very important for RAFs II). During the World War) and also in the development of radar.
