Polar dinosaurs

New Zealand paleontologist Charles Paul finds almost the entire skeleton of a dinosaur of the species Prisauropodo. It was a giant herbivorous animal of meters in length.

Between 150 and 175 million years ago, the continent that now forms Antarctica was in the tropical zone of the center of the supercontinent called Gondwana. New Zealand paleontologist Charles Paul has achieved a test on the slopes of Mount Kirkpatrick, located 640 kilometers north of the South Pole, 4,528 meters high.

He has found almost the entire skeleton of a dinosaur of the species Prisauropodo. It was a huge herbivore 20-25 meters long. He lived in the rainforest, denounced by the fossils of trunks and leaves of trees that have appeared in it. In 1969 the fossil of an old dinosaur 200 million years ago was also discovered in Antarctica.
