Blood tests at 8,000 meters to improve body understanding

A team of researchers and mountaineers climbs Everest for blood tests. Due to the difficulties of blood extraction at the top, they had to go down a few meters to a place able to remove the gloves without danger. However, this type of studies has never been carried out so high.

The objective of the research is to know how the body develops in conditions of low oxygen content, and they expect the investigated to help find a suitable treatment for people with difficulties in carrying blood to the parts of the body.
