Who is Masaru Tanaka?

Masaru Tanaka Japan was born in a bad year, in 1941, when the Japanese entered the second world war. His childhood took place in the city of Okayama, his hometown, first in a war environment, then in the atmosphere of those who lost the war. After those first years and continuing his studies, he studied environmental engineering at the university, recognizing that there was no awareness for waste treatment. He is currently Director of the Department of Environment of Japan, and Japan, as far as waste treatment is concerned, is a leading country.

The policy of this environmental engineer aims at the quality of the environment. To do this, the Japanese Department of Environment is working on waste recovery, recycling, clean technologies, reduction of solid waste, selective collection and collection of components of electrical appliances. This Japanese is so involved in environmental care, because Masaru Tanaka has a rather curious theory: "World peace can come with proper waste management; if we all start thinking about how to improve the environment, we won't have time to think about war."
