Nanosatas: NASA’s new challenge

NASA will send space three new satellites called Nanosat in 2003. This project, which is part of the new New Milenium program, aims to test new technologies. Its characteristics are very special: octagonal aspect, 40 cm long by 20 cm high, with a weight of only 10 kg. That is, they are not bigger than the home TV. In addition, these are "smart" probes, with greater autonomy than those existing so far. The three satellites will be put in orbit in the Earth's magnetosphere in order to test the resistance of the material they carry and, if good results are obtained, they will be used in the exploration of space in the future.
