Kuwait Oil

In early November, the Gulf War ignited and the last of the deposits went out. However, the ecological problems caused by uncontrolled oil have not yet ended. Forming shallow lakes, there are between 35 and 150 million barrels scattered throughout Kuwait. Kuwaiti authorities prioritized the extinction of fires in the graves, but if we take into account the opinion of experts on environmental problems, fire poses a secondary problem compared to oil lakes.

The amount of oil poured into the soil is about 20 times the amount poured into the sea. The lakes have a great difference in depth and surface, but in most cases they only have a depth of 1 m. In some areas lakes have joined and oil rivers have formed.

Some lakes are quite close to the sea and, at the beginning of the rain, you run the risk that the waters lead to the sea. Kuwaitarians are making sand levees with buldonenes to keep oil in the lakes. At the beginning of the year the oil of the lakes will be extracted by bombs. However, they have not yet thought about what to do from extracted oil. For example, oil extracted from the coast of Saudi Arabia has been buried in the desert, but experts believe it is not a very adequate measure. Oil can dirty underground water reserves.
