Smoke ring

Two researchers monitoring the Sicilian volcano Etna receive a spectacular image of a ring of smoke thrown by the volcano. This ring, about 200 meters in diameter, reached 1,000 meters in height and remained in the sky for 10 minutes. This is the first time that these rings have been made so accurate photos that have so far been observed surrounded by ashes and gases. Smoke rings are strange but unknown phenomena. Researchers will use photographs to explain why these rings are created. Meanwhile, we will enjoy the spectacular images.
