However, a Japanese researcher has obtained the hybrid fruits of apple and nashia. In vitro fertilization of nashis on apple pollen has allowed 2% of embryos to advance and become a fertile tree. These hybrids are very interesting for their resistance to nashis diseases worked in Japanese humid climate.
