Increase in sea level

The scientific journal Nature has recently published that the level of the seas rises 1.5 millimeters per year. The rise, however, is not only due to climate tempering. Man also influences it. In dry lands, from the freatic layers, water comes out to irrigate the agricultural lands.

The water so extracted evaporates and soon goes to the sea. Another reason is the deforestation of the rainforest. The square metre of forest houses 25 liters of water, which if the forest is transformed into roturos, moves to the first atmosphere and soon to the sea.
