In the future it could be possible to carry out university studies from home through the Internet. The educator of SERA Learning Technologies, James Gibbons, founded a few years ago a successful system of education in television and video, called TVI, and now plans to make a version for the Internet with the help of the computer Bert Shutherland, of Sun Microsystems.
In this educational system the subjects were given to a group of students through a video recording and subsequently the debate between the students on the subjects was promoted. Because of the success of this system, now Gibbons and Shutherland want to release the version of the Internet. The student would visualize on the computer screen the subject of video and the images of the other students with a camera to each computer. In this way, higher studies can be carried out in the future without the need to go to university.
