In 1991 the Federal Republic of Germany was the state that spent the most money on the world budgets to protect the environment. He spent $309.1 million on this task. In the United States this figure was 361.2 million dollars, in Italy 69.7 million, in Britain 125 million and in France only 8 1.7 million.
These data provided by the OECD clearly demonstrate what are the real drivers of environmental protection.
