The designation of INASMET has been promoted by Mr. Schissler, Director of the International Committee of Casting Technical Associations, who knew about the projects carried out by INASMET in this field.
The technique called ADI consists in providing the material with the desired properties of special thermal treatments performed in the processing of materials. The properties of the materials thus obtained are better than those of forged steel and their manufacturing cost is 40% lower.
The scope of industrial applications is very broad, such as automotive, agricultural, machinery, machine tools, textile and railway industries.
This delegation, which will now become official, was in practice in recent years, as reported by the manager of INASMET, Alberto Lázaro.
Finally, it should be noted that the area of influence of this Committee is composed of Europe, China, the US and India, among others. Therefore, this Basque centre can contrast opinions and information of high scientific level with other prestigious centres.
