The exploitation of waste that we generate daily as a source of energy is done in many countries, fortunately.
Waste is recycled or used for energy, but there are also waste that cannot be exploited. These residues can be sources of contamination and, in many cases, are very bad odor. They are sometimes burned, but increasingly destroyed by biological treatment. In this sense, the German companies Biotechnology IGB and Schwating-Uhde have developed a high-energy biological treatment technique.
The treatment of waste allows a reduction of dry organic matter, which accounts for approximately 60% of the waste, by 90%, and a double increase in the "biogases" generated. “Biogases” are residues of biological treatments and are a good source of energy.
The end result is a odorless residue that can be buried smoothly. Despite its high price, the new technique can be implemented in the usual treatment centers.
