AIDS: women in danger

The AIDS virus is spreading rapidly among young women in Kampala (Uganda).

Almost 25% of pregnant women in Kampala had virus antibodies in February last year, according to a recently published report. The most significant data is that in eleven months the number of contaminations doubles. In New York, however, the number of pregnant women affected is 2% and these women are also grouped into risk groups.
