New material of bone healing

A team of chemists from the University of Colorado has developed a new material to accelerate healing of broken bones. The material is formed by polymers that are placed in the bone and degrade over time. Unlike this type of degradable materials, its resistance is high and is able to retain damaged bone while the bone is recovered from the marrow. According to the researchers, the doctor can give the polymer the shape you want for further placement in the bone. Depending on how long it takes to heal the bones, you can also control the time of degradation of the material, and once completely removed, the bone stays complete. The use of this type of material in bone treatment will mean a revolution, since they are much more practical than nails used so far and leave no trace.
