The new fashionable operating system Windows´95 will have more applications than planned. The English company Oxford Intelligent Machines has just designed one of these uses: helping the handicapped. To do this they have integrated in a single system the PC and the robot that manages Windows.

The robot is equipped with articulated arms and allows to manipulate objects following the instructions of the PC. In addition, it offers the possibility to use different programs and the prototype presented by IOM, for example, is able to use the Autocad design program. Patients who are unable to move by themselves will greatly appreciate their new use.
