The TEKNIKER technology center is manufacturing the prototype of a heat microcompactor in collaboration with the Eduardo Torroja center of the CSIC, Carlos III University and Sener engineering. This instrument works by exchanging fluid flows. The most surprising thing is its small size. It is an area of 4 cm2 with a channel width of 100 microns, 100 microns of channel per channel and 100 channels in total.
The prototype design, manufacturing problems and design for production have been assumed by TEKNIKER together with Sener. To do this, it has used a prestigious micromilling machine (ULPRE II) designed and manufactured by TEKNIKER.
