Fast electric car

The Renault house has prepared a prototype called Clio Electrique Rally. This car model presents interesting particularities, especially in performance. It reaches a speed of 210 km/h and only takes nine seconds to pass the stop 100 km/h.

The only problem of this electric car is its low autonomy. At a speed of 80 km/h it only runs 130 kilometers without charging the batteries. Nickel and cadmium batteries have been manufactured by SAFT and the electric motor is from Auxile (owned by Thomson-csf), mounted by Renault.
