Black hole in the Andromeda galaxy

Until recently it was thought that the Andromeda galaxy had two cores or nuclei, but recently it has been possible to explain why this strange situation. Astronomers from the University of Lyon and the CNRS have studied the movements of stars in the centre of Andromeda.

As they are agitated movements, they denounce a very high concentration of masses in the area. The stars do not revolve around the brightest point, but around a tip of secondary light. It is estimated that the mass of the black hole that causes this phenomenon is 70 million times greater than that of the Sun.
