Dizziness caused by alcohol
More than one has learned that drinking excess alcohol causes dizziness. But the reason is not as clear as the effect.
An American researcher suggested the inability to regulate blood pressure as an explanation for dizziness and has conducted research confirming the theory. With or without a drink, the body's blood pressure decreases when we are standing, causing less blood to reach the brain. When we are normal, the veins contract to recover the lost pressure. And when are we drunk?
According to a study conducted by cardiologist Virend Somers with 14 volunteers, the intoxicated person's veins do not contract, pressure loss is not compensated, blood reaches the brain less and therefore dizziness occurs. However, it is not clear why the vein does not contract.
