Hydice (Hyperspectral Digital Imagery Collection Experimental) is a scanner to find hidden things on the ground. It has a very advanced sensor, capable of simultaneously capturing many wavelengths. By plane you can scan large areas, capturing images and distributing them in thousands of pixels. The pixel is divided into 210 wavelengths. In your analysis you will look for the specific characteristics of the object you want to find, such as the color of a garment or a metal.
Until now, Hydice had little use, but thanks to a new algorithm you can find land that only contain 5% of certain minerals. This is the predominant use: the location of covered forest deposits that, by their nature, are vulnerable through photographs or other techniques. But of course, it can also be used to find lost hikers, vehicles or camouflaged weapons.
