Ahmed H. Zewail will receive him. He was born on 26 February 1946 in Egypt and studied at the University of Alexandria. He did his doctorate at the University of Pennsylvania and from there he traveled to Berkeley University of California to research at IBM. He is currently a professor at the California Institute of Technology. For his work he has received at least twenty-four awards.
Zewail has developed techniques to detect intermediate steps of chemical reactions. The results of these techniques will allow you to obtain the Nobel Prize in Chemistry of 1999. It must be said that this research is related to the work of Pople and Kohn, who received the Nobel Prize last year. Through the theories of the latter, what Zewail experiments measure is calculated.
