Glaciers of Patagonia crying

The mountain glaciers of Chile and the Argentinian region of Patagonia are rapidly melting to cause sea level rise. This has been expressed by some researchers in the journal Science.

As these glaciers melt, sea level has risen 0.04 mm each year between 1975 and 2000. These mountain glaciers are especially sensitive to global warming, as most end up at sea and lakes.
