Access to the International Space Station

The astronauts of the Discovery spacecraft are already ready to enter the International Space Station (ISS) for the first time in the last six months. To do this, they will first have to introduce 1,500 kilos of equipment that they and their descendants will use in the Zarya and Unity modules of the ISS. Also, the first maintenance work of the space station begins to occur, since the batteries that store energy have not worked in recent times.

On the other hand, the Zarya module will install an acoustic insulation to reduce the noise generated by several fans. After these conditioning works, the ISS space station will be ready to be inhabited by astronauts, as well as having a wide variety of laboratories and control rooms.
