01/07/2006 | Elhuyar

The World Health Organization, WHO, has launched new models of child growth. To know if children are growing correctly, so far tables created in 1970 have been used. The fact that data from a small number of U.S. children were used in the preparation of these tables. was not suitable for the whole world.

For the elaboration of the tables that have now been drawn, a large number of agents have been taken into account who have analyzed 8,000 children from Brazil, Ghana, India, Norway, Oman and the USA.
