Marine microorganism DNA sequences studied
01/05/2006 | Elhuyar

Over the past 25 years, in the Pacific, large groups of microorganisms have been classifying DNA into the HOT program. The DNA analysis techniques developed in recent years have allowed 64 million pairs of DNA to be sequenced at different sea depths. In this way the genetic peculiarities of microorganisms in each depth have been analyzed. These particularities are important because they serve to know the work of microorganisms in marine and biosphere cycles.
