Nitrogen triflorurus, composed of 12,000 to 20,000 times more efficient in heat capture than carbon dioxide, is four times more abundant in the atmosphere than previously thought. Nitrogen triflorurus is used industrially in the manufacture of flat screens, and so far it was considered that these processes were emitted in very small quantities. Therefore, they considered their influence on global warming insignificant. However, in some analyses conducted in California and Australia it has been observed that in the atmosphere there are about 5,400 tons of triflorural nitrogen. This amount has an effect of 67 million tons of carbon dioxide.
