Prehistoric flutes in Germany

Flutes of more than 30,000 years have been found near the German city of Ulm. They are not the oldest known instruments, but they are very interesting for archaeologists. They are made of mammoth ivory, that is, flutters did not use empty bones as raw material. In addition, the design of these flutes allows to create sophisticated melodies. In this territory, other works of art have been found in ivory, so archaeologists believe it is the ideal place to investigate the creation of European culture.
